A point water detector sees one spot. The leak detection cable sees its entire length, and that length can be laid exactly where a leak is likely to occur.

The leak detection cable can usually be up to 40 m long. It cannot be extended via plug connectors. However, the connection from the leak detection cable to the gateway can be extended with normal cable.
